Fantastic piece, great idea, and such /marvelous/ photography skills! You must have been quick to catch that!
I tried photographing arrows in flight and quickly found out that it is near impossible. Later I managed to get my hands on a acoustic trigger which I used for some pictures [link]
But this one was done the simple way, wires spanned through the garden holding everything in place. Still wasn't easy to take the shot though since everything was rotating and moving all the time. At the end I spend two hours in photoshop to create the motion blur effect.
As to the motion, you certainly fooled me! Well done! However, it's nice to know I'm not going crazy- I was wondering if I simply imagined the string I saw on the apple's stem. xD
